The Little Things

Sometimes it's hard to slow down and appreciate all the little things in life. We're always so busy with work and camps and volunteering and other activities that slowing down seems impossible. But when you get a chance, take a break and breathe. Try to look and notice how pretty it is outside, or how nice the garden looks, or even those neighborhood kids playing and having fun. Spend time with your family. I'm sure they miss having you around. Maybe bond with them, play a board game or watch a movie. Appreciate the little things. Like the fact you have a family, and a house, and food, and clothes. The fact you can access the internet to read this, and that you can read this. There are so many things we have to be thankful for, but many times we get so caught up in life that we fail to notice them. Just slow down, and notice those little things. Take time for them. You never know, it could make a situation seem a whole lot better, and brighten your day. Sometimes the little things are what matter the most.

Robotics

So, at robotics, we build robots (duh) and get the to function (double duh) for competitions. It's pretty cool cuz you get to build stuff, but it can also be really frustrating. Sometimes a part that you spent forever on doesn't work, and you have to disassemble it and start over. Or something works, but then it messes up and you have to fix it. I actually built something yesterday and Thursday, and it actually works! It's really exciting! I feel like I've actually made a good contribution to the team, and it feels great. Except for the part about how it messed up around the last half hour of camp yesterday, and I was trying to fix it like a mad woman. I finally figured out what some of the problem was (I hope) and I'll get to fix it Monday! But you've always gotta keep trying, especially for things you love! Sometimes you have to start over, but that's okay; you just get a fresh start! Keep moving forward! You can do it! :)

Summer Break~

It's been amazing so far! Sleeping in, fun activities, shopping, bestfriend time, everything! Robotics camp is so much fun! It makes me feel smart, and getting to build stuff is pretty fun and makes me feel pretty accomplished. Volunteering at the local library is always fun and rewarding, and getting to see new people is a great experience. Next week will start band practice too! It'll be a bit busy, but it's so much fun! It's starting off great!

People

Are you serious
Why are you even
What is this
How is this even useful
What is the purpose of this
Why are you so stupid
Can you not
Like really
You are so freaking loud
No one asked for your arrogance
Or your attitude
Or your presence for that matter
Please go away
Or be quiet
Or something
Please find a way to make your presence not noticeable
Before I stab you in the throat with my car keys
Just
Irritating people
Why
Why
Why

Freedom!

Summer is finally here! Stress should be over for at least 12 weeks, even though that's still not enough time. Hallelujah! Hello to sleeping in and slacking off! Now we can wear shorts all day and screw dress code! Pajama days! Swim suits! Tans (and burns if you're me lol). And tons of best friend time :) :) Shopping trips, sleepovers, and beach days. It took forever to get here and will leave in a blink of an eye as always, but at least it's here. Time for our senior summer! ☀
